No Antibiotic Research But Making Antibiotic Resistant Organisms?

"Every year, just in the US, 2 million people are infected with Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria, and at least 23,000 die from these infections (to put this in perspective, that's more than die from AIDS each year). For the past decade, antibiotic resistant bacteria exploded, so much so, there's only around 2 strong antibiotic drugs that work against certain Gram Negative Bacteria. Now that Pfizer closed its R&D on antibiotics, there are now no large pharmaceutical companies working on antibiotics and only a few small BioTech firms are still working on it. Large pharmaceuticals can't make a profit on it, so they won't do the research to bring an antibiotic drug to market. The fact is, by 2025 most bacteria will be antibiotic resistant due to the promiscuity of the NDM1 gene that is easily passed from one bacterium to the next. Public Health Public Health Crisis...

We have all this "SCIENCE" touted on us day and night, but antibiotics are not being studied...
While at this very moment "SCIENTISTS" are creating antibiotic resistant organisms...
Do you see something wrong here?
