Voter initiative last election almost 2 years ago...was heard on June 15, 2016 at US Federal Appeals Court in Honolulu. Now we wait for the 3 judges decision.
Arguments are states, and federal preemption. Which means they may have rules covering these areas already, and they override our wishes for safe, healthy, and economically viable land.

I believe our argument is these are experimental, and not regulated...including the associated pesticides, and the state has no statutes, except ones prohibiting GM Coffee, and Taro...The state did not object then. We have police powers in this case, and it has always been the counties who decide these decisions in Hawai'i in regards to the land, and it's uses.

The back story which began back around year 2000 when people on Maui started to wake up to the knowledge that Maui was being used as an experimental area for chemical corporations testing pesticides, and genetic modification, including plants that grew dangerous viruses for pharmaceutical experiments at their pharma subsidiary corporation spin offs.

Slowly we grew to enough people who understood the reality, and the disrespect occurring to our sacred A'ina, or Spirit of the Land; to come together no matter what part of society we came from, to do something to stop this degradation.

2000, or more peoples' marching in the main boulevard...a few times...petition drive to put some thing on the ballot, winning the vote for the initiative at the polls, facing off with the County of Maui who still have not certified that election, and initiative, state court sent it to federal court, and federal court has erred in it's findings, so now we seek relief on Maui through appeal.

Kaua'i, and Hawai'i brought different methods to stop the chemical corporation through their county councils...The federal court ruled against them too at different trials. The other island's fight was just as hard, and did the same marches with so many thousands coming out to show they were against the poisoning of this land and her people.

"“Maybe there’s a way of getting a representative group of actors at the table” to discuss how the federal government could help biotechs with “insurance against risk,” she said.

Without such subsidies, she said, “this is going to be an increasing challenge. … I think we should have that kind of intensive discussion.”

She said the debate about GMOs might be turned toward the biotech side if the benefits were better explained, noting that the “Frankensteinish” depictions could be fought with more positive spin."
Everything we need to know and do is in this short video...And it all began with a baby Tang that Willie saw in the market that was sick, and he went back that night and found it in the trash can,
He developed a way to establish permaculture reserve areas that gives a money making livelihood to the local people, and a safe place for the Tangs...While making the rain come back, and re-establishing the bounty of Nature...It is not that hard!
Tangs can teach us so much!
ON A GLOBAL SCALE!

The Tree of Life!

Willie Smits works at the complicated intersection of humankind, the animal world and our green planet. In his early work as a forester in Indonesia, he came to a deep understanding of that triple relationship, as he watched the growing population of Sulawesi move into (or burn for fuel) forests that are home to the orangutan. These intelligent animals were being killed for food, traded as pets or simply failing to thrive as their forest home degraded. Smits believes that to rebuild orangutan populations, we must first rebuild their forest habitat - which means helping local people find options other than the short-term fix of harvesting forests to survive...
Money, Jobs, and Family, and a Home ; A forever Home! Forever!
This is the potential that can fuel the world....
Do not dig around foundations of houses built before 1988?...Do not let children play in dirt of those areas? ...It's BIG! Chlordane is a persistent organic pollutant... called POPs.

Chlordane is a man made chemical and popular pesticide that was offered in the United States from 1948-1988. Due to concerns about environmental damage and human health risks, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency banned the use of chlordane in 1983, except for controlling termites. It was banned for that use, and all uses, in 1988 but still its effect is felt across the world and in the United States.

Wrong. Chlordane is considered a persistent organic pollutant and the key word is “persistent.” Like plastic, it doesn’t occur naturally nor does it decompose quickly; like an unwanted house guest, it just lingers.

Additionally, be wary about letting children play in potentially affected soil."

"Chlordane still pollutes the environment in the United States. The University of Iowa examined soil samples and discovered that Cedar Rapids Iowa had chlordane soil contamination almost as severe as urban areas of China. [3] Perhaps more depressing, a U.S. Geological Survey found chlordane contamination in soil samples from Yosemite National Park. [4]

In the Pacific Northwest, salmon migrate through rivers to spawn. This is a natural cycle that has been going on for longer than any of us have been around. Unfortunately, this migration process can transport chemicals. The University of Saskatchewan reports that when fish are contaminated with persistent organic pollutants and die, which they all do, their decomposing bodies release the stored chemicals and further contaminate the environment. [5]"

" <span data-ft="{"tn":"K"}" style="background-color: #f6f7f8; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16.08px;">In equally depressing news, researchers at the University of Hawaii have discovered concentrations of POP’s, including chlordane, in the blubber of the endangered Hawaiian seal monk. <span data-ft="{"tn":"K"}" style="background-color: #f6f7f8; color: #141823; font-family: helvetica, arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16.08px;">
It’s very sad that America’s heartland, national parks, and wildlife have been reduced to receptacles for toxic waste.

Health Dangers of Chlordane Exposure
Chlordane can affect the digestive and nervous system, it’s also toxic to the liver. High exposure can cause convulsions and death. Low exposure may cause headaches, confusion, vomiting, stomach cramps, vision problems, and general malaise. Based on information from the 1999-2004 National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, the Department of Family Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina reported that exposure to chlordane has been linked to an increase in the development of diabetes. [7] Additionally, exposure to herbicides and insecticides is especially harmful to the thyroid; chlordane is one of the most toxic chemicals in this regard. [8]

Reducing Chlordane Exposure
Because of its persistent pollutant status, we’re still paying the price for the bygone era when chlordane was celebrated and literally dumped all over the country. Many Americans have low levels of chlordane in their body fat, which could remain for a long time. Tests can determine if you have chlordane in your body (or in the soil around your home) but cannot tell when the exposure occurred and what health effects may result. Regardless, there are steps you can take to minimize your exposure.

The UC Davis Department of Public Health Sciences recommends dietary strategies to reduce exposure to toxic compounds such as chlordane. Specifically, consuming organically produced dairy, fruits, and vegetables and avoiding animal products and processed carbohydrates. [9] Washing or heating your food may not be enough. For example, Japan’s Fukushima Analytical Center discovered up to 10% of chlordane compounds can remain after roasting pesticide-exposed coffee beans. [10]"

We had to take security precautions like guarding the aircraft 24 hours a day.

MT: Did anyone ever take some sort of action against you?

DS: No. We heard threats but nothing ever materialized.

http://mauitime.com/news/law-enforcement/don-shearer-has-been-a-drug-warrior-on-maui-for-30-years-now-he-wants-to-open-a-medical-marijuana-dispensary/

Spraying in the Native Forests too...More reason for Ohi'a's demise... I keep telling them it is PESTICIDE POISONING!
Celebrate my "Rare Disease" with me today...ON Rare Disease Day!
Genetic and Rare Diseases Information Center (GARD)
Antiphospholipid syndrome
"body's immune system makes antibodies (proteins) that attack phospholipids.
Phospholipids are a type of fat found in all living cells and cell membranes, including blood cells and the lining of blood vessels. What causes the immune system to make antibodies against phospholipids isn't known.
Most cases of antiphospholipid syndrome are sporadic, which means they occur in people with no history of the disorder in their family. Rarely, the condition has been reported to run in families; however, it does not have a clear pattern of inheritance. Multiple genetic and environmental factors likely play a part in determining the risk of developing antiphospholipid syndrome. The most commonly accepted explanation for the development of aPL is that they occur in susceptible individuals following incidental exposure to infectious agents.

Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) has no cure.

However, medicines can help prevent complications. The goals of treatment are to prevent blood clots from forming and keep existing clots from getting larger.[2][3][4]"
https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/gard/5824/antiphospholipid-syndrome/resources/1

Right here shows phospholipid ...or cell membrane being destroyed...part by part...
8. Organophosphate Insecticide Action

Non-competitive inhibition of acetylcholinesterase by organophosphate insecticides
Disregard for our health...They want dirt...I had to remove the ground covering here...This place was even more of a cesspool after the renovation...Full of parts of the broken ledge dust, and rock they cut off from above, and a spill of concrete left from making new ledge...I had to use a sledge hammer to dig it up...Then I put fishing line all over like a matrix...to keep out chickens until the air plant I laid down grew to cover it all up...The office here made me take it out last week...or so, I'm sick already, and am coughing...All I can do is throw rocks at chickens at this point.
We have 2-4xs the legal limit of Arsenic, and Dioxin in the soil here...Plus Lead too...Pesticide mixing house area for Wailuku Sugar...And then my neighbor went all crazy, and sprayed every where...on the back fence line...
There should have been sod laid down, and no spray signs up too...supplied by the housing...
Plus the chickens digging up the area, and cats using it for a litter box...Totally disgusting...I keep trying to tell them...and still acting oblivious... Then I think of all the sanding on the steps behind that wall...a full flight, that took off 40 years of paint, and deposited it here too...by my front door.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9Idmm-v22s

I'm not feeling well again...and am coughing...I need to detox my house, and somehow deal with all that dirt, before the trades start up again. I could just cry...
I just wish people could get it...
A comment I saw on the other video here...Is there really that much, and that deep of a conspiracy to hide these illnesses?
I believe YES!...All of these rare diseases are just categories of our individual symptoms as we are individually different!
And then some people never get to the point of being diagnosised with Antiphospholipid, because they had a stroke, or heart attack and died already!

The fact that I have never been able to get a doctor to see this as the reasons for my illnesses is proof enough to me...that something is amiss in the entire system...and medical field!
Hi Larry Keeley, My dad is pushing a move for a Hillsborough style inquiry in organic phosphate poisoning within the UK mainly affecting farmers who used sheep dip between the 50's to the 90's, Im trying to gather as much evidence on his behalf to bring forward to the inquiry, the formal medical opinion is that organic phosphate only has short term medical affect rather than long term, my father and others have paid for private tests and they have come back with high amounts of chemical particles originated from organic phosphate still within his body.
He has been paralysed on numerous occasions suffers pain and low dexterity and as a child using organic phosphate suffered fits. if you have any research that may help Id be very greatful.
Kind Regards

Abstract

<abstracttext>Pesticides are the main environmental factor associated with the etiology of human neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's disease. Our laboratory has previously demonstrated that the treatment of rats with low doses of dimethoate, zineb or glyphosate alone or in combination induces oxidative stress (OS) in liver and brain. The aim of the present work was to investigate if the pesticide-induced OS was able to affect brain and liver cell survival. The treatment of Wistar rats with the pesticides (i.p. 1/250 LD50, three times a week for 5 weeks) caused loss of mitochondrial transmembrane potential and cardiolipin content, especially in substantia nigra (SN), with a concomitant increase of fatty acid peroxidation. The activation of calpain apoptotic cascade (instead of the caspase-dependent pathway) would be responsible for the DNA fragmentation pattern observed. Thus, these results may contribute to understand the effect(s) of chronic and simultaneous exposure to pesticides on cell survival</abstracttext>

What I went through being poisoned by pesticides is hurtful to think, and even describe....I'm going to take you all through it with me...from holding my feet, and crying; after I walked on it- in so much pain in the beginning - that lasted for 3 months~ the beginning of now, and it's been 8 years~ still in pain due to the destruction ~ by lack of blood circulation, and clotting in my hip socket~...to not being able to have a even one drop of water, out of the blue fall, on me, and my entire body going through chills in every part...on top of every piece, and part hurting; which made it worse. I could NOT use my hands at all, but managed to keep a bit of a record at the beginning of this pesticide poisoning...My poisoning is identifiable, and describable, because the illnesses, and the exposures were so in my face! And affected my entire life!
REMEMBER I HAVE NEVER FOUND A DOCTOR WHO WILL NOTE THIS IN MY RECORD...and every one of them pretends cannot be!
I even had one heart specialist open a book, and slam it shut in front of me...Pretending to read out load ..."Organophosphates cannot hurt people."

I'm going to show what happened to me...finally, I can write about it specifically, and not just cry; and get upset!
Being really mad about all this, making my blog~ while laying flat on my back; barely able to move the mouse...has made me see the truth...I hope I can make you see it too.

"Cells have membranes that prevent DNA from simply diffusing in or out. This is the initial barrier that scientists must overcome in order to insert foreign DNA into a cell. The four ways of accomplishing this goal are transduction, transformation, transfection and injection. But before these four methods are employed, scientists must prepare the foreign DNA by cutting it into smaller pieces or by using restriction enzymes to cut the DNA and insert the desired portion into a bacterial plasmid. Plasmids are circular pieces of DNA that can be passed between bacteria and viruses."
Structure of the Genetic Material.

Genetic information in prokaryotic cells is carried on a single circular piece of DNA which is attached to the cell membrane and in direct contact with the cytoplasm. There is no enclosing membrane, so there is no true nucleus, but simply a concentration of DNA known as a nucleoid. There are no special proteins associated with this DNA molecule.

Plasmids. Some prokaryotes also carry smaller circles of DNA called plasmids. The genetic information on the plasmids is transferrable between cells, allowing prokaryotes to share such abilities as antibiotic resistance. Humans have discovered that prokaryotic plasmids can be genetically engineered. Today, they are isolated, changed to carry other interesting information and then reintroduced into new cells. In this way unique and usefull little bacterial factories can be designed, created and put to work.
"In 1974 we discovered ancient stem cells (AnSC) in long-term cultures of E. invadens grown in hypoxic sediments with metabolically repressed OCB [1]. We observed two distinct stem cell lines, which were then called "cell classes" [2]. One of them is an oxygenic, self-renewing stem cell line (SRL) that is observed in the early growth phase (t0-t28) leading to an autonomous terminal differentiation for cyclic encystment (CE). The second is a more hypoxic SRL proliferating until the end of growth phase (t0-t96) in changing hypoxic conditions, giving rise to mitotic arrested quiescent cells (G0 cells) capable of reentering the cell cycle. These findings were described in detail [3] and provide evidence that the mechanisms for cell differentiation and stemness were inherited from LECA. Basal mechanisms of cell differentiation and stemness were conserved not only in Entamoeba but also in protists such as Giardia and Colpoda [4,5]. The origin of stemness and AnSC lineages in single-celled eukaryotes was separately reported [6].

In 1974 the modern stem cell biology was still in its beginnings. Many biologists could barely remember the work of Ernst Häckel [7,8] or not knew nothing at all. Although the term "Stammzelle" (German for stem cell) was introduced by Ernst Häckel for unicellular ancestors-that took over basal mechanisms of cell differentiation in modern eukaryotes-stem cells remained for long time a foreign concept in protist cell biology."

Pleomorphism is a concept discovered in the early 1800’s. It shows that germs, bacteria and viruses come from inside the body; from the “tiny dots” you can see in the blood with any microscope. These “tiny dots” of course are the colloids of life or protits.

Pleomorphism is a concept that today sounds very strange. What pleomorphism is however, cannot be denied as the vast amount of data that has been obtained over the last 180 years confirms what modern microbiologists are discovering, re-discovering today. As noted, many people have been involved in this debate for a long time.

Tiny microbes are “tiny dots” in our blood that change form into microorganisms that clean up the garbage, dead cells, toxins and the like. This is what bacteria, germs, and viruses are for. They change first into viruses, then into bacteria and finally into fungal forms. Each of these stages is progressively more hostile to surrounding tissue cells.

Antibiotics, Immunization or Improved Nutrition?

In 1973 Dr. D. Powles observed: “The major contributing factor toward improved health over the past 200 years has been improved nutrition. Nearly 90% of the total decline in the death rate in children between 1860 and 1965 due to whooping cough, scarlet fever, diphtheria and measles occurred before the introduction of antibiotics and widespread immunization against diphtheria” (Powles, 1973).

Epidemiologist Dr. G.T. Stewart made a similar statement which was reported in Lancet of May 18,1968; and prior to this Sir Robert McCarrison, the great English physician, wrote:

“Obsessed with the invisible microbe, virus, protozoa as all important excitants of disease, subservient to laboratory methods of diagnosis, hidebound by our system of nomenclature, we often forget the most fundamental of all rules for the physician, that the right kind of food (nutrition) is the most important single factor in the promotion of health and the wrong kind of food the most important single factor in the promotion of disease” (McCarrison, 1936).

In a personal communication (1974), Dr. Klenner made the following important observations: “Many here voice a silent view that the Salk and Sabin vaccine, being made of monkey kidney tissue, has been directly responsible for the major increase of leukemia in this country.

Elsewhere in the same communication Dr. Klenner astutely sums up some pertinent reasons for our inability to make successful viral vaccines as follows: “I am of the opinion that virus units have the potential of going from one type to another by just altering their protein coat.
Wolbachia-infected females are able to produce offspring with non-infected and infected males, however, non-infected females are only able to produce viable offspring with non-infected males. This gives infected females a frequency-dependent reproductive advantage; that is, the advantage is greater the higher the frequency of Wolbachia in the population. Computational models predict that introducing Wolbachia strains into natural populations will reduce pathogen transmission and reduce overall disease burden.[44] An example includes Wolbachia that can be used to control dengue and malaria by eliminating the older insects that contain more parasites. Promoting the survival and reproduction of younger insects lessens selection pressure for evolution of resistance.[45][46] Wolbachia strains that are able to reduce dengue transmission include wAllbB and wMelPop with Aedes aegypti, wMel with Aedes albopictus.[47] and Aedes aegypti.[48] In addition to inhibit the DENV (Dengue Virus) in some species of genus Aedes, Wolbachia has been identified to inhibit replication of CHIKV (Chikungunya virus) in Aedes aegypti. It was found that Wmel strain of Wolbachia pipientis reduced significantly infection and dissemination rates of CHIKV in mosquitoes, compared to Wolbachia uninfected controls and the same phenomenon was observed in YFV (Yellow Fever Virus) infection converting this bacteria in an excellent promise for YFV and CHIKV suppression.[49]

Another study tested the effect of Wolbachia on the replication of WNV (West Nile Virus) but in cell line Aag2 derived from Aedes aegypti cells, suggesting that despite the existence of an enhancement of viral genomic RNA replication in the cell line Wolbachia infected, the production of secreted virus was significantly inhibited. It also was found that the antiviral effect in intrathoracically infected mosquitoes depends on the strain of Wolbachia, and the replication of the virus in orally fed mosquitoes was completely inhibited in wMelPop strain of Wolbachia.[50]

However, cases where Wolbachia reduces transmission of pathogens must be studied carefully. Indeed, a recent study demonstrated that the West Nile virus could be improved by the presence of the Wolbachia strain wAlbB in the mosquito Culex tarsalis. The rate of virus appears significantly higher than in uninfected mosquitoes. Indeed, wAlbB inhibits REL1, which is an activator of the antiviral Toll immune pathway. The release of artificially infected mosquitoes in the environment, for a vector-borne disease control program, should be made with caution, because it is the first case of improvement of a human disease in the mosquito.[51]

It has been suggested that Wolbachia induces reactive oxygen species (ROS)-dependent activation of the Toll (gene family) pathway. This pathway is essential for activation of antimicrobial peptides, defensins, and cecropins that help to inhibit dengue virus proliferation.[52] Wolbachia infection can also increase mosquito resistance to malaria, as shown in Anopheles stephensi where the wAlbB strain of Wolbachia hindered the life cycle of Plasmodium falciparum.[53]

Some experts have proposed to combat the spread of the Zika virus by breeding and releasing mosquitoes that have intentionally been infected with Wolbachia.[54]

Wolbachia is one of the most common natural pathogens on Earth that alter the reproductive system of insects; it is estimated that more than 18-76% of insects are infected by it including spider, termites, mosquito, flies and nematoades.

The bacteria give various physical characteristics of its infection that cause a variety of result including deterring chromosomal sex determination from gamete fertilization.

Also, it may initiate parthenogenesis that causes growth and development without fertilization by sperm (parthenogenesis) because it can selectively kill males; thus, it creates a detrimental competition against sperm and causes cytoplasmic incompatibility in fertilized eggs. Wolbachia's uniqueness in altering reproduction has caused many scientists to research the biology of infection and their potential use for controlling pest and pathogens.

Pathology

Cellular examination of the bacteria Wolbachia on reproductive mechanisms of the fruit fly D. melanogaster.

Wolbachia is a parasitic bacteria that infects reproductive system of insects which ultimately affects their linage continuation. The symbiosis between the bacteria and host is complex. Depending on the interaction, it ranges from mutualism to parasitism. The bacteria infect different types of organ, but the remarkable characteristic is their ability to alter the way maternal genes are passed on to the next generation by infecting the testes and ovaries of their hosts. There are four different phenotypes expressed:

male killing (death of infected males). This selectively allows females to survive and more likely to reproduce even in the absence of males.

feminization (infected males grow as either fully fertile females or infertile pseudo-females)

parthenogenesis(reproduction of infected females asexually)

Cytoplasmic incompatibility (the inability of Wolbachia-infected males to successfully reproduce with uninfected females). This method causes a certain Wolbachia strain to be more dominant over the others.

Furthermore, Wolbachia are not found in mature sperms, but are found in mature eggs. So, the infection is carried along to offspring by infected females but not males.

Application to Biotechnology
Currently, there's no known compound or enzyme identified for biotechnological use.
https://microbewiki.kenyon.edu/index.php/Wolbachia_pipientis

Probably take a week to have enough mosquitoes with Wolbachia, from Hawai'ian sources that are here naturally to fix the out break, and then the rest of the Hawai'ian Islands...

Give me that 1.7 billion dollars that was supposed to get new vaccines to "cure" this...!

How Do They Attack The Body?

A flavivirus is transmitted via the bite of an infected tick or mosquito. It enters the bloodstream and invades and infects cells called monocytes in the immune system. The virus is then transported to lymph nodes and targets organs within the body, where different flaviviruses cause different symptoms.

Symptoms generally take seven days to appear and can last for an additional seven days. Some flaviviruses, such as West Nile, can enter the brain and induce encephalitis, whereas yellow fever infects the liver, dengue can cause shock and haemorrhage within the body, and Zika induces joint and muscle pain upon infection.

It is not currently understood why these symptoms occur, but we’re conducting research to try to uncover how the viruses affect the body.

Are There Treatments?

Currently vaccines are available for some flaviviruses – including yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis virus. A vaccine for dengue was recently licensed for use in Brazil, the Philippines and Mexico.

The development of a dengue vaccine has been challenging due to the different variations of the virus. Being exposed to one type potentially worsens subsequent infections with another type of the same virus. To avoid this complication, the current vaccine trials have included all four dengue variations in their formulations.

A recent advancement in controlling flaviviruses is with the use of a bacterium called Wolbachia. Mosquitoes that harbour this bacteria are completely resistant to subsequent flavivirus infection, and the bacteria can infect and remain persistent within mosquito populations.

If flaviviruses can’t establish infection within the vector host, this limits its maintenance in the environment. The Doherty Institute, along with Monash and Oxford University, is researching implementation of this form of biological control.

In a stained egg of the small parasitic wasp,Trichogramma kaykai, are brightly staining Wolbachia. The bacteria accumulate at the end of the egg that is destined to develop into the reproductive organs. Wolbachia induce the eggs of this wasp to develop into female offspring without fertilization. (HBI) is a privately held biotechnology company focused on the research and development of vaccines for established and emerging infectious diseases. We have developed a proprietary protein production platform that is applicable to the production of vaccine antigens and other proteins. Our lead vaccine candidates target the West Nile virus and Dengue Fever. Additional subunits vaccine candidates that are produced from the proprietary protein production platform are currently under development.

HBI has built a management team with relevant experience at companies such as GlaxoSmithKline, QED Technologies, and Johnson & Johnson. Collaborators, past and present, include scientists from Harvard Medical School; the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston; the University of Hawaii; the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research; the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Disease (USAMRIID); the Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research; and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Business Model

We are committed to the development of the highest quality products with superior efficacy as demonstrated through the various stages of clinical trials. We plan to begin to partner and license our West Nile and dengue vaccine candidates after immunogenicity data has been obtained from clinical studies. Licensing at earlier stages is also being considered, especially for a more complex vaccine, such as the one for dengue fever. We are also funding the development of our vaccine pipeline from grants and contracts for public and private sources. Our strategy should allow us to maintain a stream of revenues from these sources before FDA approval.

Hawaii Biotech will continue to rely on its internal research pipeline, supported primarily by grant revenues and supplemented by a strategic in-licensing program, to produce additional proprietary clinical development vaccine candidates. HBI has a strong track record of securing research funds from the National Institute of Health and the Department of Defense to support its research programs.

In 2006, HBI acquired rights to an adjuvant, GPI-0100, through the acquisition of Avantogen, Inc (formerly a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avantogen, Limited, an Australian public company). The GPI-0100 adjuvant is useful in helping to elicit broad immune responses to certain vaccines and therapeutics especially in the cancer area. HBI has licensed the rights for use of the adjuvant to companies, (including for use with certain animal health and cancer vaccines) and will continue to pursue licensing opportunities for the GPI-0100 adjuvant.

Funding

The Company’s progress has been financed by private equity funding, as well as over $50 million in federal funding since 1982. The good news is that researchers in India have managed to discover a good remedy for dengue based on an old folk cure. It is the common papaya leaf. Since they’ve discovered this, many people from India have managed to successfully and quickly cure dengue without spending a fortune on hospital visits. The best news of all is that you can easily make it at home.

Sounds too good to be true? Well, plenty of studies have showed positive results. The juice or pulp made from this plant has been found to be quite effective not only in fighting the symptoms of dengue fever, but also in curing it.

Specialists from the Indian Institute of Forest Management have recently conducted a thorough study on five patients. The outcome was pretty amazing. Within 24 hours from drinking the juice made of papaya leaves, all the subjects reported a significant improvement of their overall health, reduced side effects and increased comfort. On top of all, they didn’t experienced any side effects.

After the study was conducted and the results were promoted in the pharmaceutical world and the internet, many companies have begun to formulate medicines made from papaya leaf extract. They have realized that papaya leaf is not only helpful in fighting dengue, but also possess some extraordinary anti-cancer and anti-malarial properties. According to a 2010 research from the reputable Journal of Ethnopharmacology, many enzymes found in papaya leaves are known for their anti-cancer properties, fighting breast, liver, cervix, pancreatic and lung cancer. These studies showcase the properties of papaya leaf and outline that it does not have any toxic effects on the body. Some doctors have moved even further, beginning to recommend papaya leaf as an integral part of chemotherapy treatments.

Another amazing benefit of papaya leaves is that they can fight other viral infection such as the common cold virus. These amazing natural ingredients have been found to regenerate white blood cells and platelets. Not only that, but they contain over 50 ingredients that support the immune system, including important Vitamins such as A, C and E.

http://ranchodelicioso.com/papaya-leaf-cure-for-dengue/

US MILITARY IS INVOLVED TOO Hidden History of Dengue

It appears highly unlikely that any “detective work” performed by the CDC and Florida health officials will unearth any evidence of dengue fever being imported into Florida, but the evidence certainly exists. Prior to the recent Key West findings and still today, the CDC has consistently reported that there have been no outbreaks of dengue fever in Florida since 1934, and none in the continental U.S. since 1946. Remarkably, this report is incorrect.

Unknown to most Americans is that dengue fever has been the intense focus of U.S. army and CIA biological warfare researchers for over fifty years. As early as the 1950s, the army’s Fort Detrick in partnership with the CIA launched a multi-million dollar research program under which dengue fever and several addition exotic diseases were studied for use in offensive biological warfare attacks. Indeed, as several CIA documents, as well as the findings of a 1975 Congressional committee reveal that 3 sites in Florida, Key West, Panama City, and Avon Park, as well as 2 other locations in central Florida, were used for experiments with mosquito borne dengue fever and other biological substances.

The experiments in Avon Park, about 170 miles from Miami, were covertly conducted in a low-income African American neighborhood that contained several newly constructed public housing projects. CIA documents related to Project MK/NAOMI clearly indicate that the mosquitoes used in Avon Park were the Aedes aegypti type. Interestingly, at the same time experiments were conducted in Florida there were at least two cases of dengue fever reported among civilian researchers at Fort Detrick in Maryland. Avon Park residents still living in the area say that the experiments resulted in “at least 6 or 7 deaths". One elderly resident told this journalist, “Nobody knew about what had gone on here for years, maybe over 20 years, but in looking back it explained why a bunch of healthy people got sick quick and died at the time of those experiments.”

A 1978 Pentagon publication, entitled Biological Warfare: Secret Testing & Volunteers, reveals that the Army’s Chemical Corps and Special Operations and Projects Divisions at Fort Detrick conducted “tests” similar to the Avon Park experiments in Key West, but the bulk of the documentation concerning this highly classified and covert work is still held by the Pentagon as “secret.” One former Fort Detrick researcher says that the army “performed a number of experiments in the area of the Keys” but that “not all concerned dengue virus.”

In the spring and summer of 1981, Cuba experienced a severe hemorrhagic dengue fever epidemic. Between May and October 1981, the island nation had 158 dengue-related deaths with about 75,000 reported infection cases. Prior to this outbreak, Cuba had reported only a very small number of cases in 1944 and 1977. At the same time as the 1981 outbreak, covert biological warfare attacks on Cuba’s residents and crops were believed to have been conducted against the island by CIA contractors and military airplane flyovers. Particularly harmful to the nation was a severe outbreak of swine flu that Fidel Castro attributed to the CIA.

In 1985 and 1986, authorities in Nicaragua accused the CIA of creating a massive outbreak of dengue fever that infected thousands in that country. CIA officials denied any involvement, but army researchers admitted that intensive work with arthropod vectors for offensive biowarfare objectives had been conducted at Fort Detrick in the early 1980s, having first started in the early 1950s. Fort Detrick researchers reported that huge colonies of mosquitoes infected with not only dengue virus but also yellow fever were maintained at the Frederick, Maryland installation, as well as hordes of flies carrying cholera and anthrax, and thousands of ticks filled with Colorado fever and relapsing fever.

A review of declassified Army Chemical Corps documents reveal that the army may have also been engaged in dengue fever research as early as the late 1940s. Several redacted Camp Detrick and Edgewood Arsenal reports indicate that experiments were conducted on state and federal prisoners who were unwittingly exposed to dengue fever, as well as other viruses, some possibly lethal. Freedom of Information requests filed months ago for details on these early experiments remain unanswered.

http://preventdisease.com/news/10/072110_dengue_CIA.shtml

Everything and anything could be corrupted, including this blog...which I just fixed...Not going to happen on my watch...That's the whole point of this blog...TO END THE CORRUPTION!

Phosphorus, P, exists in 3 allotropic forms, red, white and black. Red and white are more common.(Nuggets of Information) Both red and white P are poly-atomic and are 4 P atoms that form a tetrahedron. (Fig.3) White phosphorus reacts vigorously with oxygen and the reaction results in a popping sound that is similar to a dog barking. Phosphorus pentoxide is formed during the oxidation process (Ref.4):

P4 + 5O2 → 2P2O5

The chemical behavior of phosphorus is interesting because as a non-metal it exhibits ionic and covalent bonding depending on where it is present. It is an important element in complex organic compounds like ATP, (adenosine tri-phophate) as well as in simpler molecules like phosphoric acid ,H3PO4, oxides of phosphorus, or as a phosphate, PO43- in an inorganic compound. ATP is an energy-bearing molecule present in all living organisms. (Ref.5)(Fig.3)(Nuggets of Information)

The most common use of phosphorus is in the manufacture of fertilizers. It is also used in the production of steel and was used extensively in the manufacture of detergents, though lately phosphate-free detergents are more prevalent. This is because the phosphates that leached into water bodies affected it adversely.

There is much talk about peak phosphorus today. This means that our demand is exceeding the supply of phosphorus. In 2008, the world was shocked by an 800% increase in the price of phosphorus. Several factors including world reserves, agricultural practices using excessive amounts of manufactured phosphates have played a role in this shortage. As a society, we need to be cognizant of these problems and figure out ways to counteract the decrease in phosphorus. Pesticide Poisoning is Cholinesterase Inhibition...100%

"Any pesticide that can bind, or inhibit, cholinesterase, making it unable to breakdown acetylcholine, is called a "cholinesterase inhibitor," or "anticholinesterase agent." ..Every person has his/her own individual 'normal' range of baseline cholinesterase values; cholinesterase levels vary greatly within an individual, between individuals, between test laboratories, and between test methods.

The extent of potential pesticide poisoning can be better understood if cholinesterase tests taken after exposure to the cholinesterase inhibiting pesticides can be compared to the individual's baseline, pre-exposure measurement...
(IMO Everyone who moves to an area known to be toxic should have a baseline reading beforehand. I've NEVER had this reading as doctors refuse to acknowledge my pesticide poisoning...Even though I repeat it over, and over at every office visit. And... I've been through 50 doctors in my 4 major poisonings already, since 1995.)

The two main classes of cholinesterase inhibiting pesticides are the organophosphates (OPs) and the carbamates (CMs). Some newer chemicals, such as the chlorinated derivatives of nicotine can also affect the cholinesterase enzyme.

Organophosphate insecticides include some of the most toxic pesticides. They can enter the human body through skin absorption, inhalation and ingestion. They can affect cholinesterase activity in both red blood cells and in blood plasma, and can act directly, or in combination with other enzymes, on cholinesterase in the body."

Howz this? "OVEREXPOSURE"...WT?
Exposure..PERIOD!
Who do think they are kidding here?
NOT ME!
Similar to " pesticide does not harm people" lie.
This study is over 22 years old...
USDA has recently raised the allowable levels...3000%...
Exactly what was the point of doing that?
For our health??

"Overexposure to organophosphate and carbamate insecticides can result in cholinesterase inhibition. These pesticides combine with acetylcholinesterase at nerve endings in the brain and nervous system, and with other types of cholinesterase found in the blood. This allows acetylcholine to build up, while protective levels of the cholinesterase enzyme decrease. The more cholinesterase levels decrease, the more likely symptoms of poisoning from cholinesterase inhibiting pesticides are to show."

"symptoms can be confused with influenza (flu), heat prostration, alcohol intoxication, exhaustion, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), asthma, gastroenteritis, pneumonia, and brain hemorrhage. This can cause problems if the symptoms of lowered cholinesterase levels are either ignored or misdiagnosed as something more or less harmful than they really are.
The types and severity of cholinesterase inhibition symptoms depend on:

the toxicity of the pesticide.

the amount of pesticide involved in the exposure.

the route of exposure.

the duration of exposure."

"When symptoms of decreased cholinesterase levels first appear, it is impossible to tell whether a poisoning will be mild or severe. In many instances, when the skin is contaminated, symptoms can quickly go from mild to severe even though the area is washed. Certain chemicals can continue to be absorbed through the skin in spite of cleaning efforts."

"Ideally, a pre-exposure baseline cholinesterase value should be established for any individual before they come in regular contact with organophosphates and carbamates. Fortunately, the breakdown of cholinesterase can be reversed and cholinesterase levels will return to normal if pesticide exposure is stopped.

WHAT IS THE CHOLINESTERASE TEST?

Humans have three types of cholinesterase: red blood cell (RBC) cholinesterase, called "true cholinesterase;" plasma cholinesterase, called "pseudocholinesterase;" and brain cholinesterase. Red blood cell cholinesterase is the same enzyme that is found in the nervous system, while plasma cholinesterase is made in the liver. When a cholinesterase blood test is taken, two types of cholinesterase can be detected. Physicians find plasma cholinesterase readings helpful for detecting the early, acute effects of organophosphate poisoning, while red blood cell readings are useful in evaluating long-term, or chronic, exposure (8).
The cholinesterase test is a blood test used to measure the effect of exposure to certain or cholinesterase-affected insecticides. Both plasma (or serum) and red blood cell (RBC) cholinesterase should be tested. These two tests have different meanings and the combined report is needed by the physician for a complete understanding of the individual's particular cholinesterase situation.
Laboratory methods for cholinesterase testing differ greatly, and results obtained by one method cannot be easily compared with results obtained by another. Sometimes there is also considerable variation in test results between laboratories using the same testing method. Whenever possible, cholinesterase monitoring for an individual should be performed in the same laboratory, using a consistent testing method."

I can hardly believe this was put into the article!RIGHT HERE IS GROUNDS TO PUT THEM ALL OUT OF BUSINESS!
"Scientists tested levels ranging from 27 mg to 270 mg over a seven day period, it was remarkably evident that the Cry toxins were hemotoxic, even at the lowest doses administered. Hemotoxins destroy red blood cells, disrupt blood clotting and cause organ degeneration and tissue damage.

The number of RBC’s, (red blood cells) as well as their size, were significantly reduced, and so were the levels of hemoglobin for oxygen to attach to. Every factor regarding RBC’s indicated some level of damage for all levels of toxin administered and across all cry proteins. The tests clearly demonstrated that Cry proteins resulting from the Bt toxin were cytotoxic (quality of being toxic to cells) to bone marrow cells. Studies contiually show that these proteins kill blood cells bytargeting the cell membranes of RBC’s."
At high elevations in Haleakala, pollen was available from more than 12
species of flowering plants, but Hawaiian silversword (Argyroxiphium sandwicense

At lower elevations in both parks, we only detected pukiawe (Leptecophylla (Styphelia)
tameiameiae) pollen in Hylaeus crops despite the presence of other plant species
in flower during our study.

Furthermore, 100% of Hylaeus crops from which we

Sugar Company To A Diversified Farm Model

HONOLULU, Jan. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. (NYSE:ALEX) today announced that it is transitioning out of farming sugar and will instead pursue a diversified agricultural model for its 36,000-acre Hawaiian Commercial & Sugar Company plantation on Maui. Sugar operations will be phased out by the end of 2016, and the transition to a new model will occur over a multi-year period. No immediate layoffs will result from today's announcement and approximately half of the 675 employees will be retained through the end of the sugar harvest, which is expected to be completed late in 2016. Beginning in March, employees will be laid off as their specific functions are completed. Under the new diversified model, the plantation is planned to be divided up into smaller farms with varied agricultural uses, potentially including energy crops, food crops, support for the local cattle industry, and the development of an agriculture park.

"A&B's roots literally began with the planting of sugar cane on 570 acres in Makawao, Maui, 145 years ago," said Stanley M. Kuriyama, A&B executive chairman. "Much of the state's population would not be in Hawaii today, myself included, if our grandparents or great-grandparents had not had the opportunity to work on the sugar plantations. A&B has demonstrated incredible support for HC&S over these many years, keeping our operation running for 16 years after the last sugar company on Maui closed its doors. We have made every effort to avoid having to take this action. However, the roughly $30 million Agribusiness operating loss we expect to incur in 2015, and the forecast for continued significant losses, clearly are not sustainable, and we must now move forward with a new concept for our lands that allows us to keep them in productive agricultural use."

"This is a sad day for A&B, and it is with great regret that we have reached this decision," said Christopher J. Benjamin, A&B president and chief executive officer, who ran HC&S as its general manager from 2009 to 2011. "Having had the privilege of working alongside the employees of HC&S for two years, I know firsthand the professionalism and dedication with which they perform their jobs. The longevity of the plantation is a testament to their resourcefulness and hard work. This transition will certainly impact these employees and we will do everything we can to assist them. The cessation of sugar operations also will have a significant impact on the Maui community and we will do our best to minimize that impact. A&B remains committed to Maui and will continue to be a significant corporate supporter of Maui charities and organizations."

Employee Transition & Support

A&B is committed to supporting its impacted employees. The Company will provide transition coordinators to assist HC&S employees in finding alternate employment opportunities. The coordinators will identify and coordinate available federal, state, county and private job assistance programs (including employment counseling, job training, financial counseling, job placement and education services). A&B will offer all employees enhanced severance and benefit packages. Retirement benefits accrued by eligible employees, retirees, and past employees will not be affected by the transition out of sugar. Additionally, the Company will consider displaced employees for positions in its new operations as they become available.

"We are very focused on helping our employees during this time," Benjamin said. "Many of our employees have dedicated their careers to HC&S and have followed in the footsteps of previous generations of family members that worked on the plantation. We are grateful for their years of service and we will support them through this transition period."

Transition to Diversified Agriculture "A&B is committed to looking for optimal productive agricultural uses for the HC&S lands," said Benjamin. "Community engagement, resource stewardship, food sustainability and renewable energy are all being considered as we define the new business model for the plantation. These are leading us toward a more diversified mix of operations."

The Company is evaluating several categories of potential replacement agricultural activities. These include energy crops, agroforestry, grass-finished livestock operations, diversified food crops, and orchard crops, among others.

HC&S has several test projects underway to further assess these opportunities, and the Company plans to expand the scope and scale of the trials during the coming year. Initial projects include:
Energy crops: Building upon its extensive experience with crop-to-energy production, HC&S has initiated crop trials to evaluate potential sources of feedstock for anaerobic conversion to biogas. This on-farm testing currently is being expanded from plot to field-scale and HC&S has entered into a confidential memorandum of understanding with local and national partners to explore market opportunities for biogas. HC&S also is assessing the potential of cultivating purpose-grown oilseed crops for biodiesel production and has entered into preliminary, but confidential, discussions with other bioenergy industry players to explore additional crop-to-energy opportunities.
Support for the local cattle industry: The Company is exploring the costs and benefits of irrigated pasture to support the production of grass-finished beef for the local market. HC&S has converted a test site of former sugar land to cultivated pasture and is working with Maui Cattle Company to conduct a grass-finishing pasture trial in 2016. High-quality grazing lands could enable Maui's cattle ranchers to expand their herds and keep more cattle in Hawaii for finishing on grass.
Food crops/Agriculture park: A&B plans to establish an agriculture park on former sugar lands in order to provide opportunities for farmers to access these agricultural lands and support the cultivation of food crops on Maui. HC&S employees will be given preference to lease lots from the company to start their own farming operations.

"Transitioning HC&S to a diversified agribusiness model underscores A&B's commitment to the community and our intention to keep these lands in active agricultural use," said Benjamin. "It will take time but, if successful, these efforts could support the goals of food and energy self-sufficiency for Hawaii, preserve productive agricultural lands, and establish new economic engines for Maui and the state."

Flood defence, or so we are told almost everywhere, is about how much concrete you can pour. It’s about not building houses in stupid places on the floodplain, and about using clever new engineering techniques to defend those already there(2). None of that is untrue, but it’s a small part of the story. To listen to the dismal debates of the past fortnight you could be forgiven for believing that rivers arise in the plains; that there is no such thing as upstream; that mountains, hills, catchments and watersheds are irrelevant to the question of whether or not homes and infrastructure get drowned.

The story begins with a group of visionary farmers at Pontbren, in the headwaters of Britain’s longest river, the Severn. In the 1990s they realised that the usual hill farming strategy – loading the land with more and bigger sheep, grubbing up the trees and hedges, digging more drains – wasn’t working. It made no economic sense, the animals had nowhere to shelter, the farmers were breaking their backs to wreck their own land.

So they devised something beautiful. They began planting shelter belts of trees along the contours. They stopped draining the wettest ground and built ponds to catch the water instead. They cut and chipped some of the wood they grew to make bedding for their animals, which meant that they no longer spent a fortune buying straw. Then they used the composted bedding, in a perfect closed loop, to cultivate more trees(3).

One day a government consultant was walking over their fields during a rainstorm. He noticed something that fascinated him: the water flashing off the land suddenly disappeared when it reached the belts of trees the farmers had planted. This prompted a major research programme, which produced the following astonishing results: water sinks into the soil under the trees at 67 times the rate at which it sinks into the soil under the grass(4). The roots of the trees provide channels down which the water flows, deep into the ground. The soil there becomes a sponge, a reservoir which sucks up water then releases it slowly. In the pastures, by contrast, the small sharp hooves of the sheep puddle the ground, making it almost impermeable: a hard pan off which the rain gushes.

One of the research papers estimates that, even though only 5% of the Pontbren land has been reforested, if all the farmers in the catchment did the same thing, flooding peaks downstream would be reduced by some 29%(5). Full reforestation would reduce the peaks by around 50%(6). For the residents of Shrewsbury, Gloucester and the other towns ravaged by endless Severn floods, that means, more or less, problem solved.

Did I say the results were astonishing? Well, not to anyone who has studied hydrology elsewhere. For decades the British government has been funding scientists working in the tropics, and using their findings to advise other countries to protect the forests or to replant trees in the hills, to prevent communities downstream from being swept away. But we forgot to bring the lesson home.
Outsmarting nature? “In Paris civil society will be saying we need system change to fight climate change. What we certainly don’t need are risky techno-fixes,” said Lili Fuhr of Heinrich Böll Foundation. ”Agribusiness corporations would have us believe it is better to change fundamental natural processes such as photosynthesis than to move away from industrial agriculture and its damaging impacts – that is not just insane, but fundamentally unsustainable and unjust.”
I will be posting a petition here in a second...My blog may have a problem with losing my comments...when I go back, and forth to get links...Never had that problem before...

You may not have read on my blog about how when Harry Reid came out of the Cloak Room in the Senate...after he called in 20 Senators we had turned from the FAKE Food Safety Act...
When he came out...He said, "Stay Calm! We will get this sorted out!..."At that exact moment my Blog, my FB page, and my FB Fight page which you see on the side asking Jon Stewart to join us there...We got 17,000 hits the day before...Everyone fought hard!...All my stuff became as "No such blog" or no such page too...All at the same time...Even Twitter!
I got out of that fix fast...by being smart, and educating myself about computers...

Then to see him postpone the vote... there and then...so a few days later, as I watched C-Span like a Hawk to see what they would do...
Because what ever they did was happening in a Lame Duck Congress...and the Act would have been forced to bed...and recooked up again by them...
But, what happened...Harry Reid waited until a minute before the Christmas close, walked in, announced the bill, asked it to pass without objections...No one else but, the clerk was there to object, as everyone left for Christmas already, and no C-Span...It passed...
Now worm compost is illegal, and USDA, FDA, EPA, others can "reason" something up in their heads...and that will be the law they lay down...NO KIDDING!
And I was the only who read the bill, found that insert, and deletion to USC Codes in it...NO ONE ELSE ...Only me!
Also, nobody in all those non-profit-here-to-help-you-yous said a word about this problem with the bill...Made me even more upset...Then Harry was the final straw (man)...

Impeach the Governor, and the next guy down too!
Lilikala Kame'eleihiwa · Honolulu, Hawaii
"We should impeach Ige because he has not supported our young Mauna Kea protectors. Instead he supports giving guns to the DLNR workers and has considered calling out the National Guard against Hawaiians practicing our culture, and protecting our sacred mountain with the Kapu Aloha. We offer aloha and he offers guns! We cannot have a governor with no aloha."

"We have been made aware that Ige has called the Kanaka Maoli the "N" word, that word I don't want to repeat, but the word used for black people, when Ige was in school. We are working to confirm the validation of that statement and we will keep you posted. So who's racist here? And who's governing Hawaii?
Here at Hawaii State Coalition for Justice, we need your help, yes YOU, you took the time out of your day to sign this petition, thus is a victory, now we need your help to increase that by 10 fold. This is why we are asking each and every one of you to help 10 people in signing the petition.
"Take back Hawaii"! It starts with me, it starts with you!! Let's do our part and work together. This ain't going to be easy but it will get done."
I've been told there is a big story brewing in the next few days...Main Stream News too...About our children being gassed...while they sit in school...I think...

Want to share just off the top of my head about the action of Pesticide...

This is how when absorbed into the body...and is just the beginning of a cascade of problems...and breathing problems can be associated because was 85%, or 95% of the air we breath is made into WATER...Lungs filling with water because the bodies lung tissue is being destroyed causes you not to be able to breath.

On the outside of our red blood cell we have a membrane called the Lipid...It can open and close to allow sharing with the rest of the body, so it can "eat" or get what it needs...

Your body makes ATP it is an actual spark of electricity...
Made by a single molecule of phosphate (The word phosphorus sounds like same thing as begins in ingredients to make booms in bombs- interesting)
Anyway it's a charge...The single molecule is snapped off a line of 3 of these molecules which in an atomic structure called ADP...

We make our bodies weights worth of ADP everyday...ATP powers the opening and closing of the cell wall, or lipid...which cannot close due to the pesticide having the same KEY as Anticholinestarese (SP?)...and stealing the place in the lock to close it...

By not closing the electric charge is left to dangle, and become a FREE RADICAL---and that is where cancer, and other illnesses come in to the big picture.

Besides the destruction of that red blood cell's wall, and soon the cell...
and Nerves ...Nerve gas is to kill people. It was made 1st...then they discovered it killed plants too...bringing that to market- Nerve gas wasn't allowed-even banned)

and Fascia ...The fascia is our bodies plumbing system, and carries water through out our bodies...It can get sludgy- w/mucus- more info about breathing difficulties.

and Bone Marrow...Where the red blood is made...Anemia happens, and you do not have enough red blood cells to carry oxygen, plus you have less function one...Big problem.

and Muscles...The body reacts to the disruption of the glutothione process making it deficient through too much happening to address..Pryuvaic (sp?) acid is formed...destroying tissue, and the fascia that feeds the muscles...exposing the nerves to the "outside world" ...Nerves with no fascial sheath is like having your own skin peeled off...

And joints...All this destruction accumulates there and your body cannot cope...Shut down...

Umm...That's all I can think of right now...but, there is a bunch more I've seen about and studied...and know I haven't even figured out some of the big words to find out...

This is not the body attacking itself (auto-immunity) ...It is a poison attack.

Insecticide, herbicide, and pesticide are all the same thing...
Don't let all the names, and chemical combos fool you.

All disease is cause by environment hurting us....doctors do not tell you that...It is complicated to understand...I've lived it for years because I am sensitive.

It's no fun...Strokes, and heart attacks...swollen joints, loss of fingers, and toes...and more stuff besides cancer.

I can name a bunch of people who died directly from pesticides on Maui...You just do not notice...

Richard Amadeo from Paia, Gary Hart, Sheila from the Trading Post, me almost...Christopher Bal came to me crying about his nephew and another 19 year old who worked for Monsanto and died from the spray...
It's all top secret...The funerals happened, and no one but immediate family knew for 1 month...Paid off!

This is really KEY here...People standing up to tell us, and make official complaints...But what happens...almost 2 minutes of testimony missing...
Missing testimony in public input at county council about these Paia sprays...
Chris Wurtele from Kuau has time taken out from his talk and also a part blacked out...@ 16 minutes...

https://youtu.be/v4xDXnYwb4A

This is what is missing...
This is the part...
"At that time of the early morning, dense cold air up the slopes of Haleakala slides down the volcano creating a down slope wind toward the ocean. Even though the tractor was spraying one-half mile uphill, this downslope wind pushed the fumes right into our neighborhood. I’m sure that a number of people in our neighborhood were asleep with their windows open. A pungent, gaslike smell permeated our neighborhood. Our neighborhood had just been gassed. I called the State of Hawaii, Department of Agriculture. An Environmental Health Specialist came out to my house to test for pesticides. The test results showed exposure to dicamba, pendimethalin, 2,4-D and atrazine. These are all very toxic to human health and to the environment in general. Atrazine by the way was banned by the European Union in 2004 and it’s still being used here. Atrazine has been linked with cancer, birth defects, reproductive effects, neurotoxicity, kidney and liver damage, et cetera. It is for these reasons to just name a few that the County of Maui needs a comprehensive ordinance regarding the application of pesticides. The State of Hawaii’s laws are much too lax and do not adequately protect the health of people, animals, and the environment. We need notification before pesticides are to be applied to be able to protect ourselves. We also need buffer zones which prohibit the application of pesticides within reasonable distances of homes, parks, and roads. "

I noticed because I am next after him speaking.

Over loaded by pesticide...Almost impossible to get the levels down unless you know how...and doctors don't...only treat your symptoms...

So, if you already know that you environment is poisoned all around you...it's OK to just ignore it?

Here is where this comes from...People are up in arms here...MAD!

PLEASE READ IF YOU LIVE IN PAIA OR NEAR A CANE FIELD!
The Hawaii Department of Agriculture tested a home in Paia after several citizen complaints regarding herbicide use on a nearby cane field....the test results came back POSITIVE FOR 6 DIFFERENT HERBICIDES....INSIDE THE HOME.

The Department of Agriculture conducted the tests in September 2013 and they found 6 different potentially harmful herbicides INSIDE the house (inside the bedrooms and inside the bathrooms): Dicamba, Diruron, 2,4-D, Pendimethanlin, Ametryn, and Hexazinone were all found inside of the home.

However, the Department of Ag has failed to complete its investigation even though they have had more than 2 years to do so. They also decided not to warn nearby residents that their homes may have also been contaminated. The Department of Agriculture even failed to contact our state toxicologist, Dr. Brooks, to give her an opportunity to evaluate the public health risks to residents who were likely exposed to these harmful herbicides INSIDE of their own homes in Paia.

In the past three weeks HC&S once again sprayed newly planted fields in the Paia area. Why hasn't the Department of Agriculture proactively tested Paia Elementary School (which is next to fields that have recently been planted and sprayed) or homes near newly sprayed caned fields to ensure that there was no pesticide drift inside the homes or inside the elementary school.

I have attached official copies of the Department of Agriculture test results that were conducted on 9/17/13 from the home in Paia which shows concentrations of the 6 different herbicides that were found inside. Now would be a good time to demand that the Department of Agriculture come to Maui to host a community meeting where they can discuss the measures (if any) that they are taking to keep families and keiki safe from herbicide and pesticide exposure in their homes and schools, as well as what they are doing to ensure that this never happens again.

Feel free to contact your State Senators as well.
Senator Roz Baker (808) 586-6070 (she did not support buffer zones last year which would help to prevent incidents like this occurring in the first place)
Senator Kalani English (808) 587-7225

If you live in Paia or near any cane field on Maui your have the right to be concerned and informed. Please contact the Department of Agriculture on Oahu and ask that they come to Maui to host a community meeting so that we can all be accountable, proactive, and safe. Thomas Matsuda Department of Agriculture Pesticides Division: (808) 973-9404

Feel free to like this page if you want to stay updated on new developments or be notified of any meetings or community forums that are planned.

In order to placate Mexico as a member nation of the upcoming (and seemingly inevitable) Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), the WTO deemed dolphin-safe labeling a “technical barrier to trade”—even though that environmentally-conscious label is voluntary and applies equally to domestic and foreign companies. At issue are fishing methods that exploit the as-yet-unexplained symbiotic relationship between tunas and dolphins. As the Sierra Clubexplained:

Tunas and dolphins are commonly found together in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Taking advantage of this, many fishing companies purposefully ensnare dolphins in their nets so as to trap tuna, killing and injuring dolphins in the process. In 1990, the U.S. enacted a ban on imports of tuna caught with dolphin-unsafe practices and regulated ‘dolphin-safe’ tuna labeling.

Considering the vast reduction in extraneous deaths since that label was enacted in the 1980s, most consumers responded favorably toward protecting dolphins—mammals that, incidentally, were declared “non-human persons” by India in February 2014. As India’s Ministry of Environment and Forests explained at the time:

Whereas cetaceans [dolphins, whales, porpoises] in general are highly intelligent and sensitive, and various scientists who have researched dolphin behavior have suggested that the unusually high intelligence as compared to other animals means that dolphins should be seen as ‘non-human persons’ and as such should have their own specific rights …

Dr. Mikovits holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from George Washington University. Her dissertation was on HIV latency and mechanisms of immune activation in monocytes. Dr. Mikovits was a Postdoctoral Scholar in Molecular Virology at the Laboratory of Genomic Diversity, National Cancer Institute under Dr. David Derse. Over the past 26 years, she has published 51 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals, and worked as a government scientist for many years developing viruses and vaccinations.

In 2011 when she made a horrifying discovery that was contaminating all vaccinations, she presented her data to government officials and was threatened & told to destroy all her data. She speaks about how autism is associated with vaccines, also cancers, chronic fatigue syndrome, alzheimers, auto immune diseases, allergies and more. She discusses how the cocktail of vaccinations pumped into babies mutate to develop months and years down the track into new viruses, cancers and diseases, some they dont even know about yet. She explains how the viruses injected through vaccines tear open our DNA and insert their own DNA to mutate our genetic makeup and be passed on generation after generation.

The only nerve in our body that has 2 way communication, and the instrument that conducts the Music in Our Body Electric...Like a disc jockey plays the music in us...

Human Beings have an Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) that is actually comprised of three separate subsystems, the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS), the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS) and the Enteric Nervous System (ENS). The enteric nervous system has been described as a "second brain," which communicates with the central nervous system (CNS) through the parasympathetic (e.g., via the vagus nerve) and sympathetic nervous systems. However, vertebrate studies show that when the vagus nerve is severed, the enteric nervous system continues to function.

We now know that the ENS is not just capable of autonomy but also influences the brain. In fact, about 90 per cent of the signals passing along the vagus nerve come not from above, but from the ENS and that is why many consider it as a backup brain centered in our solar plexus. Our gut instincts are not fantasies but real nervous signals that guide much of our lives.

It is our vagus nerve that provides the gateway between the two parts of the autonomic systems. The vagus acts as a bio-informational data bus that routes impulses going in two directions. Since the vagus nerve acts as the central switchboard it should come as no surprise that impaired functioning of this one nerve can lead to so many different conditions and problems. Some neurological diseases actually come up from the gut spreading to the brain via the vagus nerve.

"Since neuronal transmission is very slow, ~~50 m/sec, and myelin is the connective tissue covering of the neuron then what your describing is transmission of information "instantly" via the ever pervasive, elastic and electrically charged connective tissue system of the organism-the fascia?"

The Fascia is also being stimulated with the Vagus Nerve, contains water...Like a stone falling in a pond response with stimulation....All those strange names like Etheric body, and Light Body; this is what they are talking about...

" Most people don't realize that the vagus nerve is vibrationally linked to how our body sends and receives energy. Any time we feel something like a "gut" feeling or sense an emotion from someone else, it is the vagus nerve that is sensing that particular energy. Energies are all tangible frequencies and can be physically felt by our bodies, specifically the vagus nerve."

Our immune systems are largely housed in the gut and the interplay between the gut and the brain is a complex and profoundly important relationship to appreciate.

We all recognize that anxiety or nervousness can impact our guts – most of us have had butterflies before a date or even diarrhea with extreme performance anxiety? We are just learning that this relationship is bidirectional; however, and that the gut can also communicate its state of calm or alarm to the nervous system. We think that the vagus nerve is a primary conduit of information and that inflammatory markers are the vehicles traveling this highway. Scientists have studied the “protective effects” of severing this nerve when animals are exposed to gut-related toxins that normally cause depressive symptoms. We are getting ahead of ourselves; however, because we need to better elucidate why inflammation matters, where it comes from, and why it is the universal driver of chronic illness.

Chemicals. Pesticides, environmental pollution from industrial waste, hormonally-modulating plastics, fire retardants, and cosmetic additives all stimulate our immune systems to varying extents and disrupt optimal production of energy on a cellular level, particularly in vulnerable tissues like the thyroid.

Cortisol and insulin are like stress-response sisters, and high cortisol states will also contribute to insulin resistance, or high insulin and high sugar while the cells, themselves, are starving. Insulin protects fat storage (inhibits lypolisis), and fat cells secrete their own inflammatory signals in addition to aromatizing testosterone to estradiol contributing to states of estrogen dominance, while also increasing DHEA and androgens to fuel that process (as well as acne, hair growth, and agitation).

Cortisol also inhibits the conversion of storage thyroid hormone to active hormone leading to states of hypothyroidism even with normal-looking labs.
What Does Inflammation Do?

Once inflammation is active, it is highly self-perpetuating. These inflammatory cytokines travel throughout the body causing oxidating stress to the fragile machinery of the tissues and mitochondria, specifically. In the brain, inflammation serves to shunt the use of tryptophan toward production of anxiety-provoking chemicals like quinolinate, instead of toward serotonin and melatonin. They produce a replicable collection of symptoms called “sickness syndrome”, noted for it’s overlap with “depressive” symptoms: lethargy, sleep disturbance, decreased social activity, mobility, libido, learning, anorexia, and andhedonia. Psychiatric researchers have observed that patients with higher levels of inflammatory markers (like CRP) are less likely to respond to antidepressants, and more likely to respond to anti-inflammatories.
http://kellybroganmd.com/article/from-gut-to-brain-the-inflammation-connection/

Connect to the Vagus Nerve
Major causes of male infertility. Above all one of the main upcoming reasons for male infertility is pesticides. Experimental evidence in the laboratory has linked the chemicals present in pesticides to reduced sperm quality, testicular cancer and reproductive abnormalities. The chemicals work by “blocking” the activity of hormones, known as androgens, which influence the development of the male reproductive system. Several studies have suggested that human semen quality and fecundity is declining. A pesticide is “any substance or mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying or controlling any pest, including vectors of human or animal disease, unwanted species of plants or animals causing harm during or otherwise interfering with the production processing, storage, transport or marketing of food, agricultural commodities, wood and wood products or animal feedstuffs, or substances which may be administered to animals for the control of insects, arachnids or other pests in or on their bodies”. They fall into three major classes: insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides, Based upon the target organism classification these are also rodenticides, nematicides, molluscicides and acaricides . Another classification categorizes pesticides according their chemical structure. Insecticides include organochlorines, organophosphates, and carbamates. Organophosphate and carbamates are less toxic and largely replaced organochlorines.

Pesticides may differ according to their chemical structure, their mechanism of action and the toxicity they exhibit, but typically each pesticide consists of one (or more) active ingredient, which exerts the pesticidal activity, and an inert ingredient, which is inactive and helps in handling the active ingredient. Several studies have shown that the inert ingredient is not as inactive as it was previously believed to be. Over 700 active ingredients are in use worldwide as pesticides, each with distinct chemical and toxicological properties.

In addition to the desired effects of crop protection and pest management, pesticides have some recognized adverse impacts on human health and the environment. Humans have a great risk of exposure through several pathways in occupational, agricultural and household use. Inhalation, oral, dermal and ocular is four possible routes for pesticide exposure. Ingestion of food and water is thought to be the main routes of pesticide exposure in the general population, while dermal absorption is suspected to be the main source of occupational exposure. Over 25% of fruits, vegetables, and cereals are known to contain detectable residues of at least two pesticides and more than 300 different pesticides are known to contaminate food products sold in the EU.. In the majority of cases, however, human exposure is unintentional and unintended. Pesticides disrupt different mechanisms in the body.
In the face of claims that GM Bt brinjal (eggplant) has proven a boon to farmers in Bangladesh, the policy research group UBINIG conducted its own field investigations and concluded that the GM crop was a “miserable failure” in its second year of cultivation. The group’s report shows that the crops were nannied through their short lives by government officials and were liberally sprayed with pesticides, including banned ones. The report likens the crop to a sick patient on life support and challenges a previous claim by BBC Panorama that the crop had been a 90% success.
Happening all around you too. You just are not noticing.
Remember! Look...Notice!
I had just stepped outside with my dog for a walk...
Horror a pesticide sprayer was spraying in my yard...
I'm thankful I saw him, because it can happen fast...
Told him no pesticides in my yard, and he gave me backtalk...
I could go through all the facts about pesticides here...
Just go to my blog and learn all about them, and GMOs...

http://FightForYourHealth.blogspot.com

The reason I made this part 1 is because I want to show all the other mis-uses within 50' of my apartment...
There is a huge story here...And the promised remediation is no where to be seen...
In fact DOH HEERS office had no idea what I was talking about when I called them 2 months ago.
We have new staff in the office who are totally oblivious to the situation...
I just leaned about the lead in the soil last month, while reading the 600 page EIS for the Wailuku River re-do, and because we sit next to the river we were included...

WAILUKU SUGAR AGRICULTURAL DEPARTMENT PESTICIDE MIXING
Nature of Contamination: Found: Arsenic, lead and dioxin in soil.

pages: 542 & 543
http://oeqc.doh.hawaii.gov/Shared%20Documents/EA_and_EIS_Online_Library/Maui/2010s/2015-06-23-MA-5B-DEA-Iao-Stream-Flood-Control-Modification-Project.pdf

The letter at the end of the video doesn't say which type of Dioxin, as there are different kinds with some more dangerous then others....The most deadly chemical known to man.
There is nothing worse, and then to mix that with other chemicals causes worse problems.
Removing the ground cover is the problem, which is our only protection.
I have no problems here at all when there is a ground cover.
I should know because I am chemically sensitive....see my blog.

My knowledge, and experience from learning the hard way by living here with this for 8 years has taught me we are perfectly safe, as long as there is a ground cover, and we follow the guidelines.

The entire area was bulldozed, and grated with absolutely no remediation before hand....
No one really knows where...Every where they tested was positive...

I want testing in my yard, no spray signs everywhere, no weed eating, only a mower that uses a bag, more education for the staff and residents, and a video made that new residents must watch to learn how to deal with this...
I'm aware when new people have moved in they were told to sign a release of some kind acknowledging the situation. I don't think they know what they are signing.

People need to be aware of this, and the health effects ...to live here- serious kine...

I know the sound of the mowing is annoying...there are some pics of the yard person here where I live weed eating 2 days after the mowing of pesticides after, and then there is the aftermath, and then more pics of more weed eating a couple weeks later, and a video of that...the end is the notice I received from DOH HEER office about the situation of Arsenic, Dioxin being 2-4xs the legal limit. It's crazy...Weed eating digs the roots up, and blows dust every where around here, and they want the grass down to the nub...I saw a guy from the office taking a picture of one stray leaf in the middle of the yard, and a little tuft of grass that is a different kind that grows faster then the other grass around it......Ridiculous

As long as I know it is there, do not come in too much contact, along with frequent showers after, and daily I'm OK...

I haven't been able to do my laundry really...Clothes drying inside my house...All the windows shut all the time.

Finally rained. This is still active...It will be for the next year...Do not be fooled by that 1, or a few days lie...or rain will wash it away either...This is all going to drain into the river. Destroying the attempts of citizens here trying to bring life back to the river. It took alot of court action to get that to happen too!

2 days later, and the day after the spray ...25 kids played right there. A new boy that was cute came, so the girls esp. wanted to make friends, as well as all the boys...About 10 -14 years old...PERFECT age to have endocrine destruction during puberty. Both times I went out and told them all about the pesticides...Saying they must all take a good bath today, and wash feet real good...They listened...

I told the yard worker here too...She laughed at me, and I repeated myself. So, she said she would not do my part of the yard.

I'm going to send emails galore to TPTB, and others...and using the Seralini trial as an example of the misinformation we believe is true about pesticide, and GMO...

Also the EnlistDuo revocation; where Maui, and the other islands were the experiments to make and develop it...

Maybe that's why we have 10xs the breast cancer rate, 10xs the HepC rate here on Maui..., 10xs the newborn heart defect for a certain kind of defect, and newborns with their intestines being born out side their little bodies too with no rate number, but people talk, and are very alarmed about finding so many other families dealing with this...on Kaua'i.

And today...
My kid lives right there...but, is away on vacation Thank-God!

Apparently this happened on Hana Highway this morning around 10:00 am just before the Kuau Store headed towards Haiku. This probably means that homes in the area were also subjected to chemical drift from HC&S spraying operations. It was too windy to be spraying today.

From Karen Chun:
Tell Gov. Ige to fire the Oahu guy in charge of the pesticide branch. He's totally not doing his job.

Here's what I wrote:

You need to fire the guy in charge of the Dept of Ag Pesticide Branch on Oahu.

Remember I complained about the pesticide over-spray issue at Ku'au Maui in 2013 had not been resolved after more than 2 years?

Well they sprayed again. Here is the description of someone who drove through it and got sprayed.

"... around 10:00 am this morning and smelled very strong chemical odor inside my car. A little further down the road I could see an HC&S truck spraying right next to the highway even though it was very windy. I was told to call Lester Chin, with the Department of Agriculture and he came out to talk to me about what happened. He told me that taking samples of my car would take 2-3 hours and that the results could take some to get back to me. I decided to file the compliant and he took samples of my car. He then had me escort him back to the site where I smelled it in my car on Hana Highway. We arrived at the site around 1:00 pm and when we got out of the car you could still smell the chemical odor in the air. Even Lester Chin told me to get back in the car and go so I didn't have to breath in any more than I already did. ...HC&S admitted to spraying Prowl (Pendimethalin), Velpar (Hexazinone), Evik (Ametryn), Rifle (Dicamba), and 2-4D on that field all in one giant mixture. ... The winds were 15-21 mph at the time they were spraying, possibly higher at times..."

The head guy doesn't even care. He claims these chemicals won't hurt you even though the EPA has classified 4 of them as "restricted use" because they DO harm you.

Please replace him with a responsible person who will take his job seriously.

On 25 November 2015, the High Court of Paris indicted Marc Fellous, former chairman of France’s Biomolecular Engineering Commission, for “forgery" and “the use of forgery”, in a libel trial that he lost to Prof Gilles-Eric Séralini. The Biomolecular Engineering Commission has authorised many GM crops for consumption.

The details of the case have not yet been publicly released but a source close to the case told GMWatch that Fellous had used or copied the signature of a scientist without his agreement to argue that Séralini and his co-researchers were wrong in their re-assessment of Monsanto studies.

The Séralini team’s re-assessment reported finding signs of toxicity in the raw data from Monsanto’s own rat feeding studies with GM maize.
